Metropolitan Companies Spreads Holiday Cheer With Annual Toy Drive Benefiting Children’s Home of Reading

Metropolitan Companies continued its tradition of holiday giving with its third annual toy drive supporting The Children’s Home of Reading (CHOR). This year, the team partnered with D&B and Foxlane Homes. Together, they sponsored 300 gift tags, helping bring holiday cheer to hundreds of local children.

For those unfamiliar with CHOR, it is a leading nonprofit social service agency in Pennsylvania. The organization provides mental and behavioral health services, education, and support for at-risk children, youth, and families. Serving communities from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, CHOR also maintains offices in Berks County, Bucks County, and the Greater Lehigh Valley. In addition, the agency offers community-based programs, foster care and adoption services, and specialized education for children with emotional and behavioral needs.

Elissa Dean, Payroll Benefits Coordinator and the company’s spirited “head elf,” organized this year’s toy drive. She managed the tags, coordinated the donations, and encouraged participation throughout the season. Thanks to her efforts, employees across the companies remained motivated and engaged.

The collaboration between Metropolitan Companies, D&B, and Foxlane Homes demonstrates their shared commitment to giving back. Furthermore, Metropolitan Companies owner Kevin Timochenko expressed pride in the ongoing partnership with CHOR. He highlighted how each gift represents a chance to brighten a child’s holiday.

With 300 gifts collected, wrapped, and delivered, the toy drive was a resounding success. It also showcased the power of teamwork and community support. Looking ahead, Metropolitan Companies looks forward to continuing this meaningful tradition while supporting CHOR’s mission for years to come.
