At Metropolitan Companies, giving back to the community has long been woven into who we are as an organization. This year, we are proud to share some truly inspiring news from our 2025 Berks United Way Campaign. Not only did our team rise to the challenge, they surpassed it with a level of generosity and enthusiasm that reflects the very best of our company culture.

From the very start of the campaign, our employees showed remarkable dedication to supporting the United Way’s mission. Participation came in many forms, each one meaningful. Team members contributed through payroll deductions, joined in for kickoff events, brought their dogs to work for a special fundraising day, and enjoyed a week of wearing jeans to show their support. Many gave simply because they wanted to make a positive difference. These efforts, paired with the steady encouragement of our leadership team, helped keep our momentum strong. Throughout the campaign, owner Kevin Timochenko’s continued support and belief in community-focused initiatives served as an important reminder of why giving back remains a core part of who we are.

Our campaign goal for 2025 was set at $20,000, a target that reflected both our ambitions and our commitment to the community. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our employees, we didn’t just reach that goal—we exceeded it significantly. In total, Metropolitan Companies raised $35,258, nearly doubling our initial objective. This achievement highlights the compassion, dedication, and community spirit our team brings to work each day, values that Kevin has consistently helped champion across the organization.

We are also excited to celebrate the success of the broader United Way campaign, which surpassed its region-wide goal of $10.75 million and reached $11.1 million to support vital programs throughout our community.
